Beta Ray Bill

Beta Ray Bill

Beta Ray Bill is a Korbinite modified into a cyborg to serve as the guardian of his race, protecting them during their space journey fleeing Surtur’s demons. He is accompanied by his sentient warship Skuttlebutt. Bill is one of the few worthy to lift Thor’s hammer Mjolnir, and Odin granted him his own hammer, Stormbreaker, forged from Uru metal and imbued with a portion of the Odinforce, making it nearly equal to Mjolnir in power.

Energy Manipulation/Absorption/Projection

  • Stalemates Stardust in energy projection. (source)

  • Absorbs another of Stardust’s blasts into Stormbreaker. (source)
  • Absorbs the Silver Surfer’s blasts into Stormbreaker. (source)
  • Destroys Omega Ray/Asteroth. (source) (Asteroth was a powerful being capable of overpowering Stardust and Bill together at one point. When Asteroth was forced to take the form of Omega Ray, she stated she was no longer a cosmic being but was still at least equal to Bill in power.)
  • Disintegrates chunks of an asteroid the size of aircraft carriers. (source)
  • Kills Fenris Wolf, leaving him as nothing but a skeleton. (source) (Fenris was Loki’s son and could prove to be a physical challenge to even someone like Thor.)
  • Releases shock waves of energy capable of toppling giants. (source)
  • Easily disintegrates Cancerverse Colossus. (source) (Cancerverse characters were about as powerful as their 616 counterparts.)

Strength

  • Slams Stardust into a nearby planet, drops on top of him, and pummels him with a flurry of hammer swings. (source)
  • Blitzes Stardust into a nearby planet and strikes him, destroying the planet underneath them. (source)
  • Destroys a large chunk of debris from a destroyed planet. (source)
  • Uses Stormbreaker to cleave through Galactus’ energy blast and crack Galactus’ armor. (source)
  • Lifts Asgard alongside Thor, saving it from destruction. (source)
  • Stormbreaker rushes through and destroys several of Tyrant’s drones. (source)
  • In a fight with Thor, their blows level a countryside. (source)

Durability

  • Tanks the destruction of a planet beneath him. (source)
  • Withstands being rushed through a planet by Stardust and survives the planet’s explosion. (source)
  • Flies into stars to retrieve a weapon tossed there by Nova (Sam Alexander) and returns unscathed. (source)
  • In a severely weakened state, survives a ship explosion, re-entry into Earth’s atmosphere, and crashing into Asgardia. (source)
  • Withstands a blast from Galactus powerful enough to scorch a planet’s surface. (source)
  • Survives being slammed between Galactus’ hands. (source)
  • Withstands being inside the heart of a star. (source)

Speed

  • Fights Silver Surfer while traveling in hyperspace at faster-than-light speeds. (source)
  • Dodges around Skuttlebutt’s blast fire and flies across half a galaxy. (source)
  • Spins hammer at high speeds to deflect blasts from different directions. (source)
  • Escapes the pull of a black hole. (source)
  • Bull-rushes Stardust across a solar system. (source)

Portal Creation

  • Opens portals by rapidly spinning his hammer to teleport himself or others anywhere in the universe. (source)
  • Uses portal creation tactically in combat to teleport away from Ego the Living Planet and return with a giant asteroid that crashes into and harms Ego. (source)
  • Teleports a small black hole to a location with no matter to absorb within a million light-years. (source)
  • Teleports from Earth to Asgard. (source)
  • Opens warp-tunnels (wormholes) for near-instantaneous travel between two points. (source)

Stormbreaker Abilities and Miscellaneous

  • Creates force fields to shield from Sam Alexander’s (Nova) nova blasts. (source)
  • Creates force fields to shield from a Super-Skrull’s fire. (source)
  • Uses Stormbreaker to heal and restore Thor’s strength. (source)
  • Releases lightning to fell Fenris. (source)
  • Releases lightning in all directions to destroy Tanaraq’s demons. (source)
  • Summons a powerful storm of thick dark clouds to eclipse the sky from the Black Sun. (source)
  • Calms a storm. (source)
  • Conjures the flames of Muspelheim, which can burn for a thousand years even in the vacuum of space. (source)
  • Stormbreaker tracks energy signatures. (source)
  • Places Stormbreaker on beings to incapacitate and hold them in place. (source)
  • Sends Stormbreaker to circle a planet multiple times at increasing speed before slamming it into Stardust. (source)
  • Stormbreaker shares information and memories with Bill due to the Odinforce, informing him of Galactus’ identity. (source)
  • Uses Stormbreaker to manipulate gravity and repel Uroc. (source)
  • Spins Stormbreaker at high speeds to create a vortex that draws energy out of Ego the Living Planet. (source)
  • Combines Stormbreaker and Mjolnir’s power to destroy a massive portal/gate that dwarfs surrounding stars and planets. (source)
  • Beats down Stardust in combat. (source)
  • Leads Asgardians as a capable leader and tactician against Surtur’s armies. (source)
  • Thor considers Bill his equal brother, trusts him as king of Asgard and leader during Ragnarok against Surtur. (source)
  • Breaks a machine siphoning power from his mind and body, using that power to fuel a ship. (source)
  • Resists the pull of two black holes. (source)
  • Is worthy of wielding Mjolnir. (source)
  • Removes power limiters to vastly boost power, blitzing planetoid-like ships and destroying thousands of warheads. (source) (Due to cyborg physiology, limiters keep energy in check. Boost lasts a few minutes, leaves him damaged. Used to protect starving Galactus from fleet; even Surfer and Stardust struggled with the fleet.)
