Carl Creel - Crusher

Creel was a boxer, nicknamed the Crusher. Turns out any opponent has a glass jaw when you have steel fists under your gloves. Garrett thought he’d be an asset. Now, once Creel touches a substance, he can absorb it and somehow consciously transform the molecules of his body into that substance. He wouldn’t tell us how, but he enjoys the way it feels… Almost as much as he enjoys killing. - Grant Ward. Carl Creel was previously a highly-respected boxer known as “Crusher” who underwent HYDRA experiments where he gained the ability to transform into any material he touches. When S.H.I.E.L.D. deemed him too dangerous, they sent over John Garrett to terminate him but he instead faked his death and had him brainwashed as an assassin for HYDRA. After a run-in with S.H.I.E.L.D. concerning a very dangerous object, he was captured and put into the custody of General Glenn Talbot where he eventually broke free from HYDRA’s mental control and became Talbot’s personal bodyguard. When Talbot was put out-of-commission by a bullet to the head, Creel lived a quiet life before reluctantly joining General Hale’s team.
