Super Paper Mario

Count Bleck

Count Bleck

A member of the Tribe of Darkness named Blumiere, marooned in a terrible accident, washed up on the shore of a human village. There he met a young human girl named Timpani. Blumiere was immediately distrustful of the girl, as the Tribe of Shadow were fierce enemies with the humans, but she quickly proved herself to be selfless and genuinely concerned with his wellbeing. The longer the two spent together, the closer they got, until the two had fallen irrevocably in love. Fearing how both their societies would react to such a pairing, the two starcrossed lovers sought for nothing more than a place where they could be happy with each other. Unfortunately, it was not to be, as Blumiere’s father, the leader of the tribe, discovered their love and had Timpani killed. Blumiere, distraught at the world who would take his Timpani from him, sought the Tribe’s oldest and most dangerous relic, the Dark Prognosticus, a prophecy of how to bring about not just the end of the world, but the end of all worlds. When Blumiere had given up hope that he would ever be with Timpani again, he forsake his old name, used the Dark Prognosticus to begin to end of all worlds, found followers to his cause, and adopted the name Count Bleck.

Durability

  • Takes multiple stomps from the heroes before giving in. The heroes are strong enough to crack stone, hurt and defeat stone and metal enemies. (source)

Magic

  • Teleports into a room along with Princess Peach, in a magical cage. Teleports himself and the Dark Prognosticus out of the room. (source)
  • Blocks a stomp from Mario with a force field that is always up, protecting him from attacks. It is only destroyed when the seven Pure Hearts are brought together to counter it. (source)
  • Shoots pockets of darkness that squash anything that enters it. Knocks out Mario with a single magical attack. (source)
  • Creates gravity wells that suck in anyone nearby. Sucks in himself, Peach, Luigi, Bowser, and Bowser’s entire army into a dimension portal. (source)
  • Able to slow down time around the opponent. (source)
  • Able to fly while in an enhanced time state, allowing him to recover from being hit instantly while leaving behind an afterimage. (source)
  • Claims that he’s the one who gave Mimi her powers of transformation. Was able to make Mimi completely invincible, at least to all of Mario’s attacks, until the magic was counteracted. (source)
  • Seemingly creates a large doorway that seemingly leads to another dimension. The ‘drawing’ effect on the world as its being entered is usually indicative of entering a new dimension. (source)

The End of Worlds

  • By performing a ritual described in the Dark Prognosticus, Count Bleck began the end of worlds, summoning a dark void in the sky that will steadily destroy all dimensions. (source)
  • The dark spell progresses over the course of days, but gets steadily larger every so often to signify its approaching end. (source)
  • Some dimensions are destroyed before others, it does not progress at a standard pace for all of them. (source)
  • When a dimension is destroyed, nothing is left within it other than an empty white expanse. At most what remains is rubble from what used to be there. A Pure Heart was the only thing to still remain after the destruction of a world, and even then it was reduced to powerless stone. If the process is reversed or stopped, then the dimensions will return to normal, even if they were destroyed. (source)
  • The only way to stop the process is to destroy either the Chaos Heart, or the person controlling it. The Chaos Heart itself can only be destroyed via it and the Pure Hearts cancelling each other out. Dimentio was able to circumvent this by leaving behind a portion of his power after dying to control the Chaos Heart without his physical body being there. (source)
