Fullmetal Alchemist 2003

Edward Elric

Edward Elric

After the death of their mother, the Elric brothers Edward and Alphonse attempted to use the science of alchemy to bring her back to life. However the act of human transmutation is taboo for a reason, and in addition to failing in their attempt Ed lost his leg and Al his entire body as payment, though Ed was able to bind Al’s soul to a suit of armor at the cost of his arm. After being fitted with an automail arm and leg, Ed and Al set out on a quest to get their bodies back to normal. Ed became the youngest state alchemist in history, and the two then traveled the country searching for the legendary philosopher’s stone… as well as discovering some of the darker secrets lurking behind the scenes.
