Etrigan the Demon

Etrigan the Demon is the son of the Demon Belial, whose power was so great that Belial created another son, Merlin, to bind him. Merlin and Etrigan regularly interfered in human affairs. When Merlin was attacked by Morgaine le Faye’s demonic army, he bound Etrigan to the mortal form of Jason Blood. Jason transforms into Etrigan by reciting incantations such as ‘Yarva Daemonicus Etrigan’ or the full poem: ‘Yarva Demonicus Etrigan. Change, change the form of man. Free the prince forever damned. Free the might from fleshy mire. Boil the blood in heart of fire. Gone, gone the form of man, Rise the demon Etrigan!’ The return incantation is: ‘Gone, gone O Etrigan! Rise again (or once more) the form of man!’
