Rei Ayanami is the First Child, chosen to pilot the prototype Evangelion Unit 00, an artificial life form created as a weapon against the mysterious Angels, a group of beings seemingly bent on the destruction of humanity. Rei’s Prototype Evangelion, originally orange in colour before being repainted blue.

AT Field

  • Together with the other Eva Units, halts Sahaquiel’s fall and pushes it back (source) (Episode 12 19:20)
  • Inverts its own AT Field to both contain Armisael and overload its own core causing it to self destruct destroying all of Tokyo-3 (source) (Episode 23 Director’s Cut 11:45)

Durability

  • Blocks a sustained blast from Ramiel using a shield (source) (Episode 6 19:37)
  • Survives Sahaquiel self destructing right on top of her and the other two Eva Units (source) (Episode 12 19:40)
  • Detonates an N2 mine at point blank range and remains intact (source) (Episode 19 15:10)

Strength

  • Cuts through Sahaquiel’s AT Field and forces it open (source) (Episode 12 19:25)
  • Sahaquiel’s AT Field was unharmed by many N2 Mines detonated on top of it (source) (Episode 12 10:30)
  • Throws the Spear of Longinus into the upper atmosphere, through an AT Field and Arael itself completely obliterating the Angel before traveling into outer space (source) (Episode 22 Director’s Cut 25:15)

Speed

Rei III

  • Produces an AT Field without her Eva and penetrates Kaworu’s AT Field (source) (Episode 24 Director’s Cut 20:03)
  • According to the text displayed during this sequence, Rei’s AT Field has the highest energy reading ever recorded (source)

Liliith/Rei
