Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Flint Lockwood

Flint Lockwood is the son of a Bait and Tackle shop owner on an island known as Swallow Falls. Well, not really known - it’s hidden under the A in Atlantic on the map, and has just a single town on it entirely dedicated to its sardine canning industry. He grew up with a passion for out-there science, pursuing crazier and crazier inventions despite the lack of support from his father and chastisement from his classmates. As an adult, he’s largely a public menace on the island due to his various failed inventions, however this all changes when he invents the “Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator” or FLDSMDFR for short, a device that miraculously converts pure water into food. When the device is ejected into the atmosphere, it begins to cause it to rain food - changing the entire dynamic of Swallow Falls, and testing if he can stay true to himself in the face of sudden fame and fortune. Flint is, well, surprisingly a guy with a lot of experience putting himself in danger. As a scientist he tries to solve problems in innovative and creative ways, for better or worse, and has an assortment of inventions on-hand at any given moment to help him against whatever he’s facing.

Physicals

Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator (FLDSMDFR)

Performs real science to prep it, describing it as an invention that turns water into food but requires too much power, blacking out his house. (source)
It takes a lot of joules to fully power. (source)
When connected to the city’s power grid, it charges up, shoots up like a rocket, drags Flint across the city, and rockets into the atmosphere. (source)
Turns water molecules into food by microwaving them. (source)
Flint builds a communicator for it in approximately 3 hours, which can prompt the device to produce any desired food like eggs, bacon, pancakes, and orange juice. (source)
Constant excessive requests overload the machine, causing it to produce larger food items out of control, as seen with a Spaghetti and Meatballs request. (source)

Spray-On Shoes
