Gamora

As her planet’s population was cut in half by Thanos’ forces, the Mad Titan took Gamora away and adopted her. Trained in constant competition with his other adopted daughter, Nebula, she learned to fight, explore planets, and assassinate. She continually upstaged Nebula, who received cybernetic implants after defeats, causing a rift between them. While carrying out Thanos’ orders without fail and earning the title of deadliest woman in the galaxy, she viewed him as mad and sought to stop him. Discovering the Power Stone provided her chance; she attacked Peter Quill to secure it, leading to her first meeting with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
