Godhead Darkseid
After the death of the Old Gods, New Gods emerged on the split remnants of the God-world: New Genesis and Apokolips. Uxas, the second son and prince of Apokolips, schemed for power and followed his brother Drax into the Infinity Pit, absorbing the Omega Force to transform into Darkseid. War erupted between New Genesis and Apokolips, resolved by leaders Highfather and Darkseid trading sons for peace. A timeline spans major New Gods events to Genesis. In Final Crisis, all prior New Gods events were projections from the Fourth World; Darkseid defeated all other New Gods in a final battle but was mortally wounded by Orion’s deathblow, falling backward through time to Earth-0 and dragging the multiverse into a black hole.
