Headless Horseman
The Headless Horseman was originally a Hessian mercenary killed in the American Revolution. In 1799, his headless body riding his black horse appears in Sleepy Hollow near his burial site, chopping off townspeople’s heads. Constable Ichabod Crane is sent to investigate the phantom.
