Infinity Stones

From the dawn of the universe, the Big Bang sent six elemental crystals, the Infinity Stones, hurtling across the virgin universe. Each Stone embodies and controls one fundamental aspect of the universe: Mind, Reality, Space, Time, Power, and Soul. Each is made manifest in one of these six colored Stones.

The Space Stone

  • Stops Loki from stabbing Thanos by holding the knife in place. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)

  • Pulls Nebula’s body apart. (source) ([With Power Stone])
  • Absorbs the explosion from a barrage of missiles and redirects it as a powerful stream of flame. (source) ([With Power Stone], Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Brings the broken pieces of Titan’s moon to the surface at incredible speed. (source) ([With Power Stone], Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Condenses the shattered remains of a gateway to the Mirror Dimension into a singularity, which its user then ’throws’. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Folds space to pull Doctor Strange closer. (source) ([With Reality Stone], Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Manipulates the density of Bruce Banner and the Hulkbuster suit, turning them intangible. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)

The Mind Stone

  • Brings people under its user’s mind control. (source) ([Scepter], The Avengers)
  • Imbues Selvig and Hawkeye with knowledge they otherwise wouldn’t have any way of acquiring. (source) ([Scepter], The Avengers)
  • Manipulates the Avengers into bickering. (source) ([Scepter], The Avengers)
  • Manipulates Bruce Banner into grabbing it without him knowing he’s doing it. (source) ([Scepter])
  • Allows Loki to project his consciousness across the universe to talk to the Other. (source) ([Scepter])
  • Houses an incredibly complex intelligence. (source) (Avengers: Age of Ultron)
  • Cuts Ultron off from the internet. (source) (Avengers: Age of Ultron)
  • Communicates with Vision to try and warn him about Thanos’ approach. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)

The Reality Stone

  • Temporarily turns Drax to shattered stone. (source) (Thor: The Dark World)
  • Temporarily turns Mantis to shreds. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Turns Star Lord’s gun into bubbles. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Turns a cloud of rubble into a massive swarm of bats. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Causes stones to rise. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Lets Thanos literally pull the ground towards him. (source) ([With Space Stone])
  • Makes Knowhere look not-destroyed, and creates an illusory Thanos and Collector that feel and seem real. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Makes Titan appear as it once did. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Merely scattered by a lighting blast from Thor. (source) ([Aether], Thor: The Dark World)
  • Could potentially cover the universe in darkness. (source) ([Aether], Thor: The Dark World)
  • When absorbed by Malekith, buffs his physicals greatly. (source) ([Aether], Thor: The Dark World)
  • Allows Malekith to shrug off lightning from Thor. (source)
  • Allows Malekith to block a strike from Thor that creates a lot of damage around them. (source)

The Power Stone

  • Wipes an entire planet of life. (source) (Guardians of the Galaxy)
  • Obliterates a group of people who try to wield it. (source) (Guardians of the Galaxy)
  • Destroys the Collector’s lair. (source) (Guardians of the Galaxy)
  • Obliterates Ronan. (source) (Guardians of the Galaxy)
  • Would have supposedly killed Thor. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Destroys the Asgardian refugee ship. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Destroys a massive structure. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Knocks out Nebula, Drax and Star-Lord. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Blasts through stone. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Destroys a gateway to the Mirror Dimension. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)

The Time Stone

  • Can be used to make individual targets advance forwards and backwards in their personal timeline at an expedited rate. (source) (Doctor Strange)
  • Restores torn pages in a book. (source) (Doctor Strange)
  • Slows, and then pauses Kaecilius. (source) (Doctor Strange)
  • Rewinds time for the entirety of Hong Kong or the entire timeline, with the user able to make specific individuals immune. (source) (Doctor Strange)
  • Introduces time to the Dark Dimension, and creates a time loop. (source) (Doctor Strange)
  • Undoes Vision and the Mind Stone’s destruction. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Allows Dr. Strange to peer through millions of potential timelines in a few moments. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)

The Soul Stone

  • Temporarily rends Dr. Strange’s astral form from his body. (source) ([With Power Stone], Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Seems to contain some sort of pocket dimension. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • Conjures a Gamora for Thanos to talk to. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)

All Six

  • A snap which wipes out exactly half of all intelligent life in the universe. (source) (Avengers: Infinity War)
