Jo Mullein - The Green Lantern of the Far Sector

Jo Mullein - The Green Lantern of the Far Sector

Sojourner Mullein grew up in a hardworking but low-income family in New York City. Her parents divorced under stress, and after witnessing the 9/11 tragedy near ground zero, she was inspired to make a difference. She excelled academically, joined the army, tried university, and became a police officer driven by ambition, but encountered systemic failings. Her career ended after reporting her partner’s brutal assault on a suspect and being fired over a ‘Black Lives Matter’ post. While coping with this, a Guardian of Oa offered her a ring and a one-year challenge to make a difference in the uncharted Far Sector.
