John F. Walker - the U.S. Agent

After Steve Rogers retired as Captain America, and Sam Wilson returned the shield, the US government sought a new patriotic hero. John Walker, a highly decorated veteran with exceptional physicals, was chosen as the new Captain America. Despite embracing the role, he struggled with its pressures, leading to a public incident where he killed a terrorist. Stripped of his rank and shield, Walker eventually allowed Sam Wilson to become the new Captain America, while he forged his own path as the U.S. Agent.
