John Hancock

John Hancock is an alcoholic superhero with powers including flight, invulnerability, and superhuman strength. He performs heroic acts in Los Angeles but is ridiculed for his drunken behavior and hates being called an ‘asshole.’ He saves public relations specialist Ray Embrey from a train by derailing it, and Ray offers to improve his image. Hancock is an amnesiac whose earliest memory is waking up in a hospital in 1931, adopting the name ‘John Hancock’ from the nurse’s request for his signature.
