The Legend of Korra

Kuvira

Kuvira

Kuvira, a rambunctious earthbender from childhood, was left under Suyin’s tutelage where she mastered metalbending and became captain of the Zaofu city guard. Horrified by the Earth Kingdom’s chaos after the Earth Queen’s death, and seeing Suyin decline leadership, Kuvira took charge. Granted emergency powers, she unified the nation as ‘The Great Uniter’. After three years, she declared herself leader of an Earth Empire, backed by a technologically advanced military and a spirit energy weapon. Her reign ended only by Avatar Korra’s intervention. Post-trial, she aided in quashing an Empire resurgence, seeking redemption.
