Kyojuro Rengoku - the Flame Hashira

Kyōjurō Rengoku was one of the nine Hashira, the greatest Demon Slayers in the Corps, specifically the Flame Hashira using Flame Breathing. His family had produced demon hunters for generations. Instilled with a sense of duty by his ailing mother, he joined the Corps to protect the innocent from demons.

Flame Breathing

• Taught by previous Flame Hashira Rengoku Shinjuro, became extremely proficient, able to fight Upper Rank 3 Akaza toe-to-toe.
• First Style: Unknowing Fire - Charges at high speed and decapitates with slashes that burn flesh, launching the Infinity Train off tracks. (source) (First Style: Unknowing Fire)
• Severs Akaza’s arms. (source)

• Blocks several of Akaza’s Air Type projectiles. (source)
• Blows away a pack of shadow dogs that absorb normal Nichirin blades. (source)

Strength

• Spars with Kanroji, considered the physically strongest Hashira. (source)
• Lifts a train off its tracks with minor slashes; train bounces as he takes off, caused by his movements per Tanjiro. (source)
• Sends Akaza flying with a strike. (source)
• Causes a large explosion when clashing with Akaza. (source)

Durability

• Survives a large explosion with minimal injuries. (source)
• Shot out of the air by a large gatling gun, takes several bullets through fight. (source)
• Heals from several gunshots using concentrated breathing. (source)
• Emerges from clash with Akaza with several wounds including broken ribs, smashed left eye, and internal organ damage from brief clash. (source)
• Has Akaza’s fist pierce his solar plexus but still subdues Akaza. (source)
• Dies from wounds with a smile. (source)

Speed

• Prevents Kanroji from being shot. (source)
• Closes a large gap quickly. (source)
• Blocks a bullet with his blade. (source)
• Causes tremors when taking off. (source)
• Moves fast enough that Tanjiro cannot keep up. (source)
• Saves Tanjiro from Akaza’s attack, drawing after fist is inches away. (source)

• Quickly teaches Tanjiro Full Focus Breathing to heal open wound; can use it himself but has limits as he dies from battle wounds. (source)
