Link - the Hero of Twilight

“Tell me…do you ever feel a strange sadness as dusk falls? They say it’s the only time when our world intersects with theirs…the only time we can feel the lingering regrets of spirits who have left our world. That is why loneliness always pervades the hour of twilight.” A young man from Ordon, a village just outside of Hyrule, Link was meant to just bring to Hyrule Castle an offering of a finely crafted sword. But upon being dragged into a darkened area, he discovered that his world was being invaded by those from the Twilight Realm under the tyrannical rule of Zant. He also discovered that he bore the spirit of a legendary hero, which both protected him from the effects of the areas imbued in twilight by changing his form and informed him of his fated destiny to save the land from darkness. With the assistance of Midna, a being from the Twilight Realm who’d like nothing more than to see the end of Zant’s rule, as well as the Hero’s Shade, the spirit of the Hero of Time borne of regret that he failed to pass on his skills, Link would go on to save both the realm of light and the realm of Twilight.
