Meruem - King of the Ants

Meruem, known as the King, is the ultimate offspring of a Chimera Ant Queen who consumed thousands of humans. He emerges from her womb prematurely, leading to her death, and is protected by his Royal Guards: Neferpitou, Shaiapouf, and Menthuthuyoupi. They conquer East Gorteau to build an army of Chimera Ants. Meruem excels at board games but finds challenge and compassion in Komugi, the blind gungi champion. During the Hunter Association’s assault, he spares Komugi, engages Netero in battle, and survives a nuclear explosion but suffers amnesia and poisoning. Reunited with Komugi, they play gungi until their deaths.
