Mortimer 'Toad' Toynbee

Mortimer 'Toad' Toynbee

Mortimer ‘Toad’ Toynbee is a mutant from the Marvel 616 universe. His powers are those of a toad. At first he could only hop very well, but over the years his powers developed. Along with his powers, his personality has gone through changes over the years as Toad has tried to deal with the chemical imbalances that are inherent to his mutation and the abuse he suffered as a young man. He started as a terrorist being used by Magneto, eventually struck out on his own as a mutant rights terrorist, and now runs with different mutant groups depending on the situation.
