Warhammer 40,000

Orks

Orks

The most numerous species in Warhammer 40k factions, surpassing humans and Tyranids in numbers. Orks are a green-skinned, plant-like race known for their savagery, obsession with war, crude technology and tactics, and ability to fight, travel, and attack in ways that defy logic but work due to their WAAAGH field.

Travel Capabilities

  • Orks have traveled throughout the entire Milky Way Galaxy. (source)
  • Orks can accomplish galactic travel multiple times even when reduced to stone age technology. (source)
  • Orks can accomplish galactic travel independently of other Orks. (source)

Healing Factor

  • Ork physiology allows them to withstand fatal wounds with little long-term consequence, emerging larger and stronger afterward. ([2] - Genetor Aurelius Thoze, Adeptus Mechanicus Xenobiologist)

Ingenuity

  • Orks turn random scrap metal into deadly weapons. (source)
  • Ork weapons function due to the WAAAGH field, bending reality when Orks believe they work. (source)
  • Orks construct massive spaceships with hundreds of weapons using basic materials. (source)
  • Ork weaponry includes bullets, incendiary rounds, explosives, and more. (source)
  • The WAAAGH field amplifies speed, such as painting an Ork vehicle red to make it go faster. (source)

Battle Size

  • Orks flood battlefields with overwhelming numbers of soldiers and vehicles to challenge Space Marines. (source)

Battlewagon Feats

  • Battlewagon is a massive mishmash of looted tanks and APCs on a track-mounted chassis with swiveling cannons and spiked armor. (source) (Manuverability)
  • Battlewagon’s energy cannon obliterates a Sentinel scoutwalker and its pilot in a single blast. ([3] - Firepower)
  • Battlewagon withstands Imperial fire, including cannon shots and lasfire, remaining operable despite damage. ([3] - Durability)
  • Battlewagon surges forward with a burst of speed to evade rockets and fires a shell that destroys a gunship’s wing. ([3] - Speed)
  • Battlewagon absorbs a rocket hit to its flank without stopping and continues firing its cannon. ([3] - More Durability)
  • Battlewagon designs defy practicality with excessive armament and shielding, yet function as Orks believe, firing explosive shells that nearly destroy a Terminator-armored target. ([3] - WAAAGH)

More General Feats

  • Orks harness electricity with makeshift gear in battle without harm from shocks. (source)
  • Orks have Psykers called Weirdboyz that amplify with combat and revelry, using psychic energy offensively. (source)
  • Weirdboyz can teleport entire platoons of troops through Warp rifts. (source)
  • Weirdboyz vomit blasts of Warp energy that reduce foes to molten goop, channel mental emissions, and can explode heads if energy builds up; Warpheads become addicted to releasing Waaagh! energy. ([4])
  • Weirdboyz and the WAAAGH field grow more powerful with greater numbers of Orks. (source)
  • Orks instinctively follow the biggest and most powerful among them as their Boss. (source)

Air Combat

  • Orks board hostile aircraft by strapping rockets to their backs and flying to the target. (source)
  • A rudimentary Ork airship takes down a Space Marine and their high-tech aircraft. (source)

Rapid Fire (Dakka)

  • Orks use comically fast-firing but low-accuracy weapons. (source)
  • Orks build, prepare for space travel, and unload guns with rapid fire. (source)

Starship Capabilities

  • An Ork spaceship turns an entire planet into a billion-mile asteroid field using a shokk attack gun that sucks up the world, causing a massive explosion. (source) ([4])
  • Even when lethally damaged, an Ork ship continues fighting, firing guns and using thrusters despite hull breaches and fires. (source) ([4])
