Phantom Virus

The Phantom Virus is a being of pure electromagnetic energy created by a disgruntled research student to get revenge over not getting recognition. This baseball-loving ghost caused enough trouble that the Mystery Gang was brought in to stop the threat of it. When the Mystery Gang was sucked into a video game, the virus followed them and did his best to destroy them until he was destroyed by the game being completed.

Electrokinesis

• His presence makes test tubes and beakers explode. (source)
• The virus reflects a stapler thrown at it with an electrical barrier. (source)
• A blast of electricity scorches a metal table and blasts some bits of it off. (source)
• He blows open the back of a moon rover with a bolt of energy. (source)
• The virus charges baseballs with electricity to make them flaming projectiles that blast through chain link. (source)
• He can shoot out balls of electricity powerful enough to blow up and melt large chunks of arcade cabinets. (source)

Electronic Manipulation

• The virus absorbs the data from computers by walking past them, taking all of their data and programs. It is noted that if the virus got loose, it could use this ability to threaten the entire world. (source)

• The virus brings arcade games to life, making them shoot balls and pucks and such. (source)
• An arcade machine’s wires are made to shoot out and snare Fred’s legs. (source)
• Pinball machines get brought to life and can actually walk forwards in order to snare Cyber-Scooby in their wiring. (source)

Physicals

• The virus resists a chemical explosion that burns a whole room, though it stuns him for a bit. (source)
• The virus gets ragdolled and thrown around by a robot across a room and though stunned isn’t taken out. (source)
• A bookcase collapses on him and he shrugs it off quickly. (source)

Limitations

• Due to being composed of electromagnetic energy, the Phantom Virus is vulnerable to strong magnetic fields and electricity. A “super magnet” being held up at him immediately drives him off. Said magnet could rip away thumb tacks from a wall many meters away. (source)
• Being shocked hurts him, though it more just makes him mad. (source)
