Prodigy

David Alleyne was an incredibly intelligent teenager from Chicago, taking college-level courses before finishing high school. After realizing his intelligence was mutant-enhanced, he was recruited by Mirage and joined the Xavier Institute as Prodigy in the New Mutants training squad with Surge, Elixir, Wind Dancer, Wallflower, and Wither. He co-led the team with Wind Dancer after declining sole leadership. Depowered during M-Day, he remained active at the Institute, aiding against Purifiers and Nimrod using his natural smarts, earning a spot with the New X-Men from Cyclops. Now residing on Krakoa, resurrected by The Five with his mutation restored and upgraded to retain absorbed knowledge permanently, though his death’s cause is mysterious. He serves on the X-Factor team led by Northstar.
