Rodney Copperbottom

In a world inhabited by robots driven by the desire to either repair or upgrade themselves, Rodney Copperbottom dreamed of becoming an inventor like his role model Bigweld. Having grown up in the humble setting of Rivet Town to an amicable dishwasher, Rodney decided to travel to Robot City to meet his idol. However, the hopeful robot soon discovered Bigweld had gone missing and his company had been taken over by a greedy suit named Ratchet who prioritized selling ridiculously overpriced upgrades over repairing broken robots he deemed as mere scrap metal. With the help of his new friends the Rusties, his wrench, and his creation the Wonderbot, Rodney went up against a sinister plot to eliminate Bigweld and outmode the lower classes.
Engineering
- As a preteen, creates the Wonderbot out of household parts to help his father clean dishes. (source)
- Reattaches Fender’s head. (source)
- Helps the downtrodden residents of Robot City by fixing their various faults and damages, even completely reassembling one robot. (source)
- Fixes Bigweld’s brain in the middle of a chase. (source)
- Uses the spare parts in Madame Gasket’s factory to give Fender, Crank, Lug and Diesel each a unique upgrade to make them combat-ready. (source)
Problem-solving
- Quickly devises a way to destroy Madame Gasket’s super sweepers. (source)
Strength
- Manages to continue running with a manhole magnetized onto his foot. (source)
- Throws Fender in the air. (source)
- Stomps through a skylight. (source)
- Presses a floor button by stomping it despite being light enough that a vent elevates him. (source)
- Boosts himself by stomping down on a huge, metal, spring-loaded platform. (source)
- Smashes a robot larger than himself to pieces with his wrench. (source)
- Smashes metal boxes with his wrench. (source)
Durability
- As a baby, his nose can be removed and reattached. (source)
- Gets pecked in the eye by a robot pigeon. (source)
- Falls through a window and into the Bigweld Industries boardroom. (source)
- Falls from the top of the massive Bigweld Industries gate. (source)
- Has a gas canister fly into him. (source)
- The gas canister flies him into a billboard where he is then struck by a huge load of metallic objects that force him through it, followed by a multi-storey fall in a barrel where he hits multiple buildings on the way; he is knocked unconscious but otherwise in pristine condition. (source)
- Has his foot removed by Fender and reattaches it. (source)
- Gets scraped against a wall and pushed into another room by Aunt Fanny’s fanny (she was able to destroy Madame Gasket’s minions by accidentally bumping into them). (source)
- Falls into a pile of scrap parts and is completely fine. (source)
- Safely slides across a horizontal pole, creating friction sparks in the process. (source)
- Tanks a mini-missile. (source)
Speed & Agility
- Uses a trash can lid to block projectile junk before ducking under a saw blade. (source)
- Manages to stay on his lone foot as he wrestles the other from Fender on a surface covered with ball bearings. (source)
- Escapes from Ratchet’s security and leaps through the gate as it’s shutting. (source)
- Outruns a giant falling domino. (source)
- Demonstrates incredible dexterity when dancing. (source)
- Can double jump. (source)
Other Physical Traits

- Since it lacks a speaking mechanism, it can communicate via charades. (source)
- Shows off its mad dance skills on two occasions. (source)
- Defeats Madame Gasket in an epic duel. (source)
Wonderbot - Strength
- Effortlessly supports Rodney’s body weight when lifting him to the top of Bigweld Industries. (source)
