Sergeant James Heller

After losing his family to the Blacklight virus, James Heller went on a suicide mission into the Red Zone, not expecting to survive. After his transport was destroyed, he follows Alex Mercer, the cause of the second outbreak and his family’s murder, deeper and deeper into the Red Zone. Eventually meeting him alone in a dark alley, Mercer infects Heller with Blacklight, turning him into a being similar to himself.
