Formerly Batman, formerly the Last Monitor, formerly the Signal, and formerly Duke Thomas. In the Dark Multiverse, where events of Metal went wrong, Barbatos corrupted the League through Batman, turning most into horrific Dragons. Barbatos led the Deathwave, destroying all universes until only Earth-Metal remained. Duke Thomas, as the Signal, stole Monitor armor to traverse the multiverse and fight the Deathwave for two years, but saved no one. Returning to the final universe, he rallied the last survivors—Dick Grayson, Hawkgirl, monstrous dragon Hawkman, skeletal Flash, and Detective Chimp/Red Tornado—to defeat Barbatos at great cost. Now the final survivor, Duke Thomas, as the Final Knight, hunts darkness in the Dark Multiverse.
