The Iron Giant

The Iron Giant, more commonly referred to as just the Giant, is an extraterrestrial robot standing about fifty feet high. After crash landing in the United States in the 1950s, he befriends a young boy named Hogarth. He has a childlike personality and gradually learns to speak English. He eats metal, presumably to keep him operational.

Strength

Durability and Self-Repair

• A secondary gun on his right arm that fires on four tanks, possibly disabling them (source)
• A gun on his left arm that seems to disintegrate a tank (source)
• Three guns on his shoulders that fire energy blasts (source)
• An energy cannon on his chest that can fire over long distances and create enormous explosions (source) (However, it’s not clear how damaging the explosion is. The water and clouds are not visibly displaced.)

Weaknesses and Limitations
