Venom

Eddie Brock, a disgraced investigative journalist, bonds with the alien symbiote Venom after stumbling upon the Life Foundation’s experiments. The symbiote, harvested from a comet, requires a host to survive in Earth’s oxygen-rich environment and forms a perfect match with Eddie. Together, they fight to stop other symbiotes from returning to the comet and invading Earth with millions more. Interdependent, Venom enables Eddie to breathe and prevents organ atrophy, while they aim to do good but often cause chaos.
General Physiology
- All symbiotes require a living host to survive in an oxygen-rich environment and need an exact match with the host, similar to an organ transplant; mismatch causes severe negative effects. (source)
- If the symbiote and host do not match, bad things happen. (source)
- High frequency sounds cause the symbiote significant pain and stress, potentially lethal. (source)
- Fire causes the symbiote significant pain and stress, potentially lethal. (source)
- The symbiote communicates directly with the host without others hearing and detects danger before the host does. (source)
- The symbiote appears as the host’s reflection, possibly only to the host. (source)
- The symbiote absorbs the memories of its host. (source)
- A stronger symbiote can physically rip the symbiote off its host. (source)
Eddie Brock
- Smashes a sheet of security glass with a fire extinguisher. (source)
- Makes a strong attempt to disarm a combat specialist. (source)
- Floors Drake with a superman punch. (source)
Host Augmentation - Strength
- Cracks a brick wall by jumping off it. (source)
- Kicks a door out of its frame. (source)
- Jumps straight through a metal fence. (source)
- Runs straight through a log. (source)
Host Augmentation - Agility
- Jumps to the top of a very tall tree in an instant. (source)
Host Augmentation - Durability
- Stays standing against two taser guns zapping at once. (source)
- Even weakened by loud noise, protects the host from a 100-foot fall. (source)
Host Augmentation - Regeneration
- Heals multiple broken bones and lacerations after a motorcycle crash. (source)
- Heals the host after being stabbed through the chest. (source)
- Heals the host immediately after a chest stab. (source)
- Can heal a broken leg without full transformation, as Riot did, though Riot is stronger than Venom, so not guaranteed. (source)
Host Augmentation - Other
- The symbiote can manipulate the host’s body from within to a certain extent. (source)
Tendrils and Extensions - Strength
- Throws several people around bodily. (source)
- Rips a car door out of its frame to block an explosion. (source)
- Slingshots the host and motorcycle over a waist-high fence. (source)
- Pushes two cars to the side. (source)
- Stops two SUVs from crashing into the host. (source)
Tendrils and Extensions - Speed
- Pulls the host out of the way of a bullet. (source)
Tendrils and Extensions - Durability
- Soaks up bullets. (source)
- Blocks Riot’s blade construct. (source)
- Riot’s blades slice through a rocket’s fuel tank, and Riot is stronger than Venom. (source)
Tendrils and Extensions - Utility
- Catches the host after jumping out a window. (source)
- Sticks the host to the wall. (source)
- Performs sick burnouts. (source)
- Keeps the host on the motorcycle after a huge jump. (source)
- Forms a claw to dig into concrete and stop the host from falling. (source)
- Disarms five guys at once. (source)
- Creates a parachute that catches fire but slows the host enough to survive a several hundred foot drop into water. (source)
Tendrils and Extensions - Other
- Creates a head to talk to the host face to face. (source)
Full Transformation - Strength
- Easily bites a man’s head off, crushes cars by jumping on them, shatters pavement by running, and charges through a stone fence. (source)
- Grabs two guys by their collars, jumps high into the air, and throws them a dozen feet away. (source)
- Throws a man through a concrete pillar. (source)
- Rips off and throws a chunk of metal rafters. (source)
- Ragdolls a guy and uses him to beat down half a dozen others, then throws him through several sheets of glass. (source)
- Scales along the side of a metal catwalk, then bursts through it. (source)
- Sends Riot flying back with a kick. (source)
- Uses one of Riot’s blades to carve through a rocket’s fuel tank. (source)
Full Transformation - Speed/Agility
- Swims quickly. (source)
- Scales up the side of a skyscraper very quickly. (source)
- Catches two gas grenades. (source)
- Dodges Riot’s wave of blades. (source)
- Scales a tower fast enough to keep up with a rocket lifting off. (source)
Full Transformation - Durability
- No-sells a point-blank shotgun blast. (source)
- Absorbs machine gun fire. (source)
- Ignores machine gun fire completely. (source)
- Takes several point-blank flash grenade explosions. (source)
- Takes several stabs through the chest and arms and heals from them. (source)
- Gets batted 100 feet away, thrown another 100 feet, and tackled through concrete and metal. (source)
- Survives near the fireball that killed Riot, despite fire weakness. (source)
