Monster Hunter

Zinogre - The Thunder Wolf Wyvern

Zinogre - The Thunder Wolf Wyvern

Zinogre is a Fanged Wyvern with a symbiotic relationship with Fulgurbugs, beetles that discharge electricity. It uses these bugs along with its conductive fur for defense and hunting. Variants include Stygian Zinogre, Thunderlord Zinogre, and Howling Zinogre, which have similar or superior physical abilities to the normal Zinogre. Zinogre has no inherent electrical powers and relies entirely on Fulgurbugs for charge; Stygian Zinogre uses draconic Dracophage bugs instead. Non-canon feats from Capcom-endorsed games are included at reader discretion.

  • Defensively summons lightning around itself (source) ([MHW:I])
  • Releases lightning by slamming on the ground from the air (source) ([MHW:I])
  • Releases lightning by punching the ground multiple times (source) ([MHW:I])
  • Releases lightning by landing on its back on the ground (source) ([MHW:I])
